Outfit the elf in doll clothes or a miniature outfit to resemble school attire. Add props like a small backpack and lunchbox beside the dressed elf. Create a paper lunch menu or schedule nearby to suggest the elf is preparing for a school day adventure, complete with realistic packing details.

Why this works
Bedroom scenes work best as an evening reveal — kids find the elf when they climb into bed. Bedtime is when a cozy, low-mess scene lands hardest. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes — quick but visibly intentional.

If it doesn't go to plan
