Foil Shoe Shine
How it's done
Wrap several pairs of the kids' shoes in aluminum foil, lining them up in a row as if freshly "shined." Position the elf nearby with foil scraps or mid-wrap to show it's been busy polishing. The reflective foil creates a humorous visual of the elf's misguided helpfulness. This setup works in an entryway or mudroom where shoes are typically stored.
Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.
Why this works
